DiscoCactus YouTube ChannelSam Bobinski is a bassist and arranger. As a performer, he has appeared in several video game soundtracks, most notably Mortal Kombat 11, performs with the videogame music band DiscoCactus, and has performed on several Materia Collective releases, in addition to having a freelance career. He also arranges for a variety of ensembles, including DiscoCactus, Symphony by the Sea in Massachussetts, White Mountains Festival in New Hampshire, and the Orchestra Jeux de Video in Montreal.
Composer, vocalist and instrumentalist Laura Intravia is internationally renowned for her multi-faceted musical career in opera, concert music and video game/film soundtracks. A coloratura soprano with “bright ping,” Laura’s love of new music and contemporary opera has lead her to several role world premieres, including Young Iphis in The Body Politic (Juventas New Music Ensemble) and Elisa in Omar Najmi’s debut opera En la ardiente oscuridad. She has frequently collaborated with MetroWest Opera (now MassOpera), appearing as Amy in Little Women, Leonora in The Beautiful Bridegroom and Queer Kid in the 2018 workshop performance of Kamala Sakaram’s Taking Up Serpents. Laura also appeared with Beth Morrison Projects as quintet soprano in Missy Mazzoli’s Song from the Uproar.
Multidisciplinary musician Doug Perry blurs the lines of genre and allows musics of all styles and backgrounds to share the same stage. Originally a jazz drummer and vibraphonist, Doug engages in a wide variety of musical settings, including classical, jazz, electronic, rock, pop, and world music styles. In addition to performing, Doug’s versatility allows him to be active as a composer, arranger, educator, recording engineer and audio producer.
Matheus Garcia Souza is a Brazilian violinist, instructor and conductor with an eclectic musical background. His early interest in Brazilian popular music, also known as Choro, gave him tools to go beyond the strict classical training imposed in most violinists. His latest performances include touring Japan with the New York Symphonic Ensemble, soloing in Brazil with the Londrina State University Symphony Orchestra, and recording soundtracks in the United States for franchises such as Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, and Kingdom Hearts.
Described as “Brilliant, humorous, and rhythmically complex,” (Tacoma Symphony Blog) Ben Wallace is a composer, percussionist, and keyboard player hailing from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ben’s music spans a wide range of styles from chamber and orchestral, to disco and samba, and occasionally into the video game remix world. He has worked with organizations such as Musical Theatre Southwest, The Amadeus Chamber Orchestra, Grand Band, and Music & Cocktails, hearing his works performed in New York, Tacoma, Utah, New Mexico, New Haven, San Francisco, Switzerland, and Beijing.
